So now we had to make a decision on what concoction we would have with our waffle…hmm would we keep it healthy (tasty) by adding a tiny bit of strawberry, or would we just fully indulge and have any kind of chocolate we wanted?! Stephen decided on a “Banana and Nuts” but he replaced the banana for snickers! Here is what it contained:
- Peanut Butter
- Salted Peanuts
- Caramel Sauce
- Whipped Cream
I went for the ‘Mr Oreo’, but as I cannot stand whipped cream, I replaced that for a delicious scoop of the creamiest vanilla ice cream that even had pods in! My ‘Mr Oreo’ contained:
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Chocolate sauce
Let me tell you something now!!!! If you are EVER in Birmingham, even just passing through briefly on the train with a 30 minute window between trains! You MUST get yourself a “Super Bubble Waffle” because they are worth every single penny!
You are probably wondering what makes it so damn special, well let me break it down! First of all the shape of the waffle with its individual bubbles all over, allow you to break off one bubble at a time that is coated in ‘Nutella’ and scoop up a decent chunk of vanilla ice cream with each bite! OMW, it tastes amazing! I haven’t stopped thinking about eating one again since visiting (6 days ago). The waffle itself isn’t too sweet and isn’t in any way savoury so it’s just perfect, then with the warm ‘Nutella’ spread across it and the melting vanilla ice cream with broken pieces of ‘Oreo’ turning up here and there….it is like a dream come true! Honestly, all in all I cannot stress enough! if you are a dessert person, you love waffles or you are just a sweet tooth and you are in Grand Central, you have to go!
